BEN HAWKINS -10_edited.jpg

Benjamin Hawkins a fine jewellery designer specialising in one-off bespoke artworks. From the age of fifteen Benjamin has practiced goldsmithing, going on to study jewellery at the Goldsmiths Centre in the heart of London’s jewellery quarter. Here he flourished, winning multiple awards in design and craft. On completing the course, Benjamin came under tutelage of the master craftsman Brian Joslin, before breaking off on his own in 2016 to start Benjamin Hawkins London. Later that year, Benjamin was scouted to apply for a position at Sarabande, where he was in-residence for two years. He now has a workshop at The Goldsmith's Centre and is inundated with top level commission work.

Benjamin believes that jewellery is an artform that can be celebrated long after the intended wearer puts it on for the first time. Every artwork is made as the only piece of its kind, so once it is finished, he renders the jewel in gauche, writes a valuation, and includes it in a hand made leather bound book that can live with the jewel for the journey it is about to embark.
